What does this course involve?

Studying the BTEC Level 3 in Hospitality, you will develop the knowledge and customer service skills required for a successful career in Event Management.

You will learn the fundamental skills required to organise and run a successful event. Studying core subjects such as:

  • Event organisation in hospitality
  • Planning and managing a hospitality event
  • Marketing an event
  • Enterprise in the hospitality industry
  • Personal selling and promotional skills

Studying at our Broadstairs campus, you will be learning in a unique way with access to The Yarrow Hotel; our on-site, aspiring four-star training hotel.

This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.


What qualifications do I need?

4 Cs or 4s including maths and English.


You will learn through observed practical sessions, project completion and reflective accounts. Assessment will be through submission of coursework.

Fees & Costs

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials.

For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.

On successful completion, you could gain employment within the catering and hospitality industry, or you could continue your studies and undertake a HNC in Hospitality Management.
