This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September to July. To register your interest please contact Support Services: Broadstairs - 01843605062 (or email supportservices.broadstairs@eastkent.ac.uk) This is a distance learning programme for learning and development staff whose role requires competence across a range of responsibilities. Learners will be involved in the organisation, design, delivery and quality assurance of training.
Learners will work towards:
Combined qualification: Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development (QCF).
Literacy/Numeracy/ICT: Fulfilled by completion of Maths, English and ICT at an appropriate level.
ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the apprenticeship framework.
There are a number of mandatory units in the workplace to be completed. Apprentices will also be required to study a number of optional units linked to specific industry requirements.
The learner is expected to take ownership of their award. Full support will be given recognising differentiation in its entirety.
Candidates must be employed in a learning and development role and will be invited to undertake initial assessment to demonstrate the minimum levels of literacy, numeracy and ICT required.
The certificate is assessment based and requires students to compile a portfolio of evidence.
This course is fully funded if the Apprentice is aged under 19. If the Apprentice is 19+ then a £750 employer contribution is required. If the Apprentice is aged 24+ the please contact us for more information about 24+ learner loans.
