If teaching is a career you have considered and you would like to know whether it is the right career path for you, East Kent and Canterbury College are offering you a fantastic opportunity to gain a unique insight into teaching within Further Education with our Introduction to Teaching.
Join East Kent and Canterbury College for 7 weeks of FREE workshops designed to introduce you to teaching in Further Education. Each session will run in the evening from 6.00 – 8.00pm with each week covering essential knowledge areas for teaching in Further Education delivered by experts from within the Colleges.
In week 6 you will also be given a valuable opportunity to team teach with a Mentor to provide you with real insight into teaching as a career path for you.
East Kent and Canterbury Colleges are fantastic places to learn these skills, with recent Ofsted inspections rating all campuses as Good with many Outstanding features. We have campuses in Folkestone, Dover, Broadstairs, Canterbury and Sheppey as well as many links to our local communities such as apprenticeships and adult education.

How to Apply
We have 12 FREE places on our Introduction to Teaching and you do not need to have taught before to attend, but you do need to have a passion for inspiring others to learn and you must believe that you have the skills, interest and attitude to be an effective teacher of a diverse range of learners.
The next run of 7 workshops will start this term and with the evening and site to be confirmed, depending on applicants.
