We have facilities and resources to assist further with complex needs; our new ‘Hub’ provides a retreat for students who experience anxiety.

Please let us know your needs when you make your application to the College. Further support can be arranged once you have started your Study Programme or course. The support team works in partnership with Kent Supported Employment, who provide supported progression into work for people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
A highly experienced organisation who provide Needs Assessments for students with additional needs applying for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). The Needs Assessment is an informal meeting with one of the assessors who will discuss equipment and support which could help you on your course. The assessor will write a report containing recommendations for support during your studies. This is sent to you, your funding body, for example, Student Finance England, and the disability adviser at the College or University.
East Kent College works in partnership with Kent Assessors and we are a designated outreach centre. This means that anyone applying for DSA, regardless of where their course is to be held, can have their assessment undertaken locally at the College.
