East Kent College recently made a change to how it provides its higher education courses. Earlier this year the College took the decision to work in partnership with Canterbury College, rather than Canterbury Christ Church University, to offer its range of higher education courses.
That means from August 1st 2016, East Kent College and Canterbury College will work together, with both offering applicants the opportunity to enter higher education in a wide variety of subjects.
The decision gives the College more flexibility to offer the best courses to our students, while also meeting the local jobs market needs better. The College is currently undertaking the relevant accreditation work.
This means East Kent College is still offering the full range of HE courses and in order to keep you informed about your programme while we wait for the new UCAS codes you will need to apply directly to the College for the academic year 2016-17. The College will then update applicants once the UCAS course codes have been allocated so that you can complete your application ready for September.
Applicants who have applied for a student finance arrangement will simply need to contact Student Finance England on 0300 100 0607 confirming there has been a change to circumstances once the College has the relevant UCAS course code.
This change will only affect new applicants to HE programmes which begin in September 2016.
In the meantime, I would like to assure you that we are working hard to ensure your experience with East Kent College is the best it can be. If you have any questions about the arrangement, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
