What qualifications do I need?

Apprentices should be employed within an appropriate Automotive environment. Apprentices will be invited to attend a short informal interview prior to the course commencing and to undertake initial assessment to demonstrate the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required. Apprentices will be allocated a personal tutor for guidance throughout the duration of the course.

The process of assessment requires the demonstration of skills together with appropriate knowledge and understanding to a specified standard. Assessment of the VCQ is based on a combination of observation, questioning and collection of evidence from the workplace.
