What does this course involve?

You will study six mandatory units including; communicating in a business environment and support the purpose and values of an organisation. You will then select further optional units such as chairing meetings, evaluating and solving business problems, managing budgets, planning change across teams, managing a project and planning change for a team.

Distance learning offers a flexible approach to learning to meet the needs of the individual learner. This course is designed for those people employed in an administrative capacity who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification but are unable to attend College.

Learners must be employed within an appropriate environment, such as those working in a senior administrative or secretarial capacity, for example Office Managers and Team Leaders. Applicants are invited to attend a short, informal interview prior to the course commencing.

Fees & Costs

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of the course then your course will be free. There may be payments needed for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over the age of 19) financial support towards the costs of your course may be available. Please contact Student Admissions on 01843 605040 for more details.

Please note: For those claiming state working age benefit this course is classed as part-time.

Opportunities

On successful completion of this Programme, you could progress onto the College’s HNC in Business, and then could progress onto the second year of an Undergraduate degree at University in a related subject such as Business Management at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Alternatively, you could seek employment within a range of business environments.
