What does this course involve?

You’ll learn the art of preparing and cooking confectionery and patisserie products to exceptionally high standards. Working alongside our industry experienced chefs you will gain a nationally recognised qualification which has been the starting point for some of the UK’s top chefs. You can look forward to being part of entrepreneurial developments such as our produce brand, Viking Bay Fine Foods, and take part in master classes where Michelin-starred and locally renowned chefs share their expertise.

This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.

Requirements

What qualifications do I need?

You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students must have completed a Level 2 vocationally related programme.

Assessment

You will learn through practical sessions in our kitchens and assessment will be through written work and completed portfolios.

Fees & Costs

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials.
