What does this course involve?

This is a competence based qualification designed for those who work in a teaching assistant role (or similar) at Level 3. This Diploma replaces the skills and knowledge of Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning.

This is a distance learning programme covering mandatory and optional units to a minimum credit value of 44. Units will include topics such as supporting learning activities, schools as organisations, and understanding child and young person development. Optional units are also chosen to reflect the specialist nature of your role.

What qualifications do I need?

No formal entry requirements, however you must have a placement in a school or learning environment either voluntary or paid. You will also be asked to attend an interview prior to the commencement of the course.


You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence.

Fees & Costs

Course fee: £1,417 (19yrs+)
