What does this course involve?

Broadstairs Campus

You’ll learn how to set out work areas, preparing mortars, laying bricks, doing decorative brickwork and building masonry structures.

You can look forward to the chance to take part in inter-college skills competitions at local and national level and be involved in a variety of community-based projects.

Folkestone Campus

Your Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.

Requirements

What qualifications do I need?

You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 2 vocationally related programmes.

Assessment

You will learn through practical sessions in our workshop environments and assessment will be through practical demonstrations, written work and online tests.

Trip, Hard hat and High-Visual vest, approx. £45

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
