Level 2 - Motorsport
15 hours per week
This Study Programme is ideal if you are interested in a career linked to the motor racing industry, both nationally and internationally. It covers the basic areas of race vehicle production, alongside the modifications and technical adjustments needed to improve performance and maximise reliability.
You can look forward to the opportunity to build motorsport vehicles from scratch as well as preparing racing vehicles and the opportunity to work at Lydden Hill Race Circuit.
This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at D grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 1 vocationally related programmes.
You will learn through practical sessions in our workshops and assessment will be through written work and online tests.

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
