What does this course involve?

Broadstairs Campus You’ll learn programming, computer hardware building and maintenance, use of computers in industry and how to develop mobile applications. You will also be able to develop your IT skills using a range of software. You can look forward to the chance to use game design technology, develop programming skills and work in a practical way with hardware and software. Dover Campus You’ll learn programming, computer hardware building and maintenance, use of computers in industry and how to develop mobile applications. You will also be able to develop your IT skills using a range of software. You can look forward to the chance to develop programming skills and work in a practical way with hardware and software. Folkestone Campus You’ll learn a range of skills to prepare you for a career working with digital systems, the web, creative agencies and I.T. development for business. Coding, the development of mobile apps, designing websites and producing video and digital images for online use is all part of this exciting programme of study. You can look forward to developing a range of I.T. skills in a creative and business context and working alongside our commercial creative agency and our film, photography and business students. Your Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.

Requirements

What qualifications do I need?

You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at D grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 1 vocationally related programmes.

Assessment

You will learn though practical and theory sessions and assessment will be through written work and online tests.

Fees & Costs

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
