What does this course involve?

You will study four mandatory units including managing/improving your own performance in a business environment, working/communicating in a business environment and optional units such as using a diary system, providing reception services, taking minutes and customer relations.

The duration of the course is flexible according to individual learners. However, the qualification should be completed within a maximum of one year. Delivery will be in the learner’s workplace.

What qualifications do I need?

Learners must be employed within an appropriate environment, such as those working in a junior administrative or secretarial capacity. Applicants are invited to attend a short, informal interview prior to the course commencing.


You will gain this qualification through the preparation of an E-Portfolio or paper-based portfolio of work-based evidence to demonstrate competence. You will be allocated a personal tutor, offering guidance and support throughout the qualification and carrying out assessments on the employer’s premises.

All prices quoted are given as a guide, and may be subject to change. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such a travel, equipment and childcare. The fees for this course are payable by all learners. The College policy regarding remission of fees does not apply to this course.
