What does this course involve?

This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. To register your interest please contact Support Services: Broadstairs - 01843605062 (or email supportservices.broadstairs@eastkent.ac.uk) Candidates gain the Management Apprenticeship Level 3 framework qualification by completing and achieving:

Competency Qualification: ILM NVQ Certificate in Management Level 3 (Work-based evidence portfolio).

Technical Certificate: ILM Certificate in Principles of Management Level 3.

Maths, English and ICT: Fulfilled by completion of Maths, English and ICT at level 1.

ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.

All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the Apprenticeship framework.

There are a number of mandatory units concentrating on working in a business environment to be completed. Apprentices will be required to complete a number of optional units linked to specific skills requirements.

There is an expectation that Apprentices will undertake personal study to demonstrate knowledge of the subject area, compile a portfolio of work-based evidence and complete assessments to fulfil the technical certificate and functional skills requirements.

Requirements

What qualifications do I need?

Apprentices should be employed within an appropriate environment. They will be invited to attend a short informal interview prior to the course commencing and to undertake initial assessment to demonstrate the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required. Apprentices will be allocated a personal tutor for guidance throughout the duration of the course.

Assessment

The process of assessment requires the demonstration of skills together with appropriate knowledge and understanding to a specified standard. Assessment of the NVQ is based on a combination of observation, questioning and collection of evidence from the workplace.

Fees & Costs

This course is fully funded if the Apprentice is aged under 19. If the Apprentice is 19+ then a £750 employer contribution is required. If the Apprentice is aged 24+ the please contact us for more information about 24+ learner loans.

Opportunities

On successful completion, you could progress onto Level 5 Diploma in Management.
