GCSE resits for adults who do not already have a C or above. Science is now considered a vital GCSE, along with Maths and English.
GCSE - Science
You will attend class for 2 hours a week. Afternoon or evening classes are available.
Many jobs require a Science GCSE and for those considering a teaching career, it is essential. Students who wish to follow a scientific career or further study in any of the sciences would find this subject very useful.
GCSE Science can be studied as an individual subject in the day or evening, or as part of a range of GCSE’s providing a strong basis for further study or employment.
This is a part time programme delivered over one academic year with classes meeting once per week.
Students must be aged 18+ and not already hold a Science GCSE at grade C or above. You will be working towards the full GCSE in Single Science (Level 2).
Our Science programmes span a wide range of possibilities in terms of future careers and higher education. Assessment will include three one hour written examinations which make up seventy-five percent of the overall mark. Experimental coursework forms the remaining twenty-five percent of the marks.

With appropriate qualifications you can apply for one of our Level 3 Applied Science programmes: Forensic, Medical Science, Behavioural Science or the Pfizer Science Trainee programme. Success on these courses will give you sufficient points to gain access to university and an excellent basis to start your working life.
