What does this course involve?

The Study Programme will include maths and English qualification based on your needs. You will also study personal and social development, work skills and a vocational area which may include catering, multi-trades, sports and fitness, horticulture and motor vehicle. You will complete one day a week work placement to develop your understanding of the world of work.


What qualifications do I need?

You must be working at or achieved Entry Level 2.


Assessment will be by portfolio building, practical work, written assessments and exams for maths and English. Weekly Independent Study (homework) will be set to support the Study Programme.

Fees & Costs

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.

What next? You could progress onto a Study Programme within a specific vocational area at Level 1 or on to a Supported Employment course.
