What does this course involve?

You’ll learn the principals of computer science and apply them in a range of business, web and creative industry context. You will work on projects including developing a social media campaign, producing a website and app for a client and developing I.T. infrastructures for businesses. On successful completion of this you will be able to study at a higher level on one of our HNC programmes or at university, alternatively you could progress into employment within the IT, Creative or Business sector.


What qualifications do I need?

You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students may be able to progress from a Level 2 vocationally related programme.


You will learn through practical sessions and assessment will be through demonstrating your skills, written work and online tests.

Fees & Costs

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be
free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other
materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of
your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help
with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare. If you are
aged 19 and over an Advanced Learning loan may be available if you are studying

On successful completion you could progress on to one of our Level 4 HNC programmes, study at a university or work in the I.T, Creative and Business sectors.
