What does this course involve?

This course is for adults only and you must be aged 19+.

This qualification will support learners to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a range of clinical healthcare support settings and in adult care environments.

The qualification is formed of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover core competencies.

It covers a wide range of areas including dementia awareness, mental health and well-being, supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and healthcare procedures.

Students will be required to attend college 1 day a week 9.30-2.30 and recommended to get some work experience alongside.

The course will start in Sept 2018 and end July 2019.


What qualifications do I need?

A good standard of written English skills are required. No previous qualifications needed, but must be age 19+


A tutor will assess your work internally through a range of coursework. You will be required to undertake 1 days placement with a care provider.

Fees & Costs

Subject to eligibility, this course is usually fully funded for adult
learners that do not already have a Care Level 2 Diploma, or those who are in
receipt of qualifying means-tested benefits.
