What does this course involve?

The Level 1 Award in Book keeping offers an introductory qualification in manual bookkeeping skills particularly providing essential skills in single entry book keeping. You will develop knowledge of financial documentation, as well as covering principles of cash or credit transactions and skills in Spreadsheets used in Finance. The Award consists of four modules. It will help you develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the following areas: • Introduction to book keeping • Working within book keeping • Book keeping and Accounts • Spreadsheet Software You are interested in an introduction to book keeping or have no prior knowledge of book keeping and also for those how already have some practical knowledge and seek an accredited qualification in the subject. Suitable for: • Small and micro-sized businesses who would like to acquire in-house book keeping skills • Those returning to work who have an interest in conduction book keeping services for local businesses • Those seeking to acquire skills to gain access to the workplace. AAT qualifications are valued by employers who actively seek AAT qualified staff. It shows that you have practical skills in book keeping underpinned by knowledge that will help you achieve success in the workplace.

Requirements

What qualifications do I need?

A good standard of Literacy and numeracy required. All assessments are computerised therefore it is essential that you are also IT literate.

Fees & Costs

Course fee TBC plus £41 AAT registration (AAT registration payable direct to AAT)

All prices quoted are given as a guide, and may be subject to change. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such a travel, equipment and childcare. The fees for this course are payable by all learners. The College policy regarding remission of fees does not apply to this course.
